IWSG July

This is going to be a short one. I am participating in Camp NaNoWriMo this month, and though I have had a good start (4520 words in the first two days), I'm worried that I'm not going to finish.

I know, 2 days in and I'm already worried about failing. But the more I think about my story, the less of a plot I actually have. I have these great characters in mind, but that's all I have. I have no idea what they're supposed to be doing.

I'll figure it out. I always do. It just never comes out the way I planned.

    1. I'm with you. I think until I've written the 50,000th word, I will not believe I am going to finish.

You've had a great start! And you know you're capable of doing this -- you wrote a massive 70,000 word novel already! You've written interesting things for every day of an entire month! You totally got this!

  2. My stories never turn out how I plan them. Then again, I never really plan them very well so maybe that's why. Good luck with Camp NaNo, you can do it! :)

  3. Great start, Jennifer. Seriously. I did a camp NaNo last August. I thought I'd fail, too. But didn't! Keep your head up, plug away at that keyboard. Don't be tempted to go back and edit. Just keep writing. Set daily word goals. Gather support (join a camp group on the NaNo site or on FB.). Don't give up.
