IWSG

Real quick IWSG post today. Seems like all my posts for the past few months have been "real quick". I really need to learn better time management.

Speaking of which, Time Management is the theme for this month. Here, lemme show you what my weekly schedule looks like:

See. I've actually scheduled in writing time. Four Whole Hours a week. Why yes, I did spend a stupid amount of time making this schedule up instead of doing anything productive.

Anyway, do any of you have problems with time management? How do you handle it?

  1. I do and I really need to maintain a schedule like this. I am so unorganized and I know I need to change that in order to be more productive.
I'm co-hosting the meeting this month and so glad to meet you as a result!

  2. I definitely have problems with time management. Some days I'm more productive than others. Having a plan (like you do) has really helped me if I stick to it. I could be doing better though… :)

  3. I don't schedule time. I just grab it when I can. A half hour here. Twenty minutes there. Usually an hour a day. Sometimes two. Whenever I'm not too tired and no one needs me to walk the dog, drive a kid somewhere, or crunch some numbers.

  4. YES< YES<YES.... I definitely do! But you didn't waste time doing your schedule because if you stick to it, IT WAS TIME WELL SPENT!

    Nice to meet you Jennifer....

  5. You asked - Why yes, I did spend a stupid amount of time making this schedule up instead of doing anything productive.
My mom has a saying - But first....
It's how we procrastinate - I need to do this but first....I'll do that. It's like you have to jump through hoops of fire to get to some things.
But now the schedule is set - so no more "but firsts...." - lol.

  6. Priorities are crucial. I hope you're finding time to write. I'm glad to see you have "me" time on the schedule, too.
